Final Recording from the Davenport Theatre Stockport prior to its Closing in March 1997.
Price Including Post & Packing £6.00
When it opened in 1937, the Davenport Theatre in Stockport, England was one of the best independent suburban cinema theatres built in the immediate pre-war years, complete with its 7 rank Compton Theatre Organ. Sadly after nearly 60 years of entertaining the public it closed its doors for the last time in March 1997. Thanks to the swift action of the Lancastrian Theatre Organ Trust, the Compton Organ is in safe storage, after being rescued just in time before demolition of the theatre.
