When you hear the stirring notes of the Douglas's signature tune "Pack Up Your Troubles", they mean just that. Although Douglas was synonymous with the organ of the Dome in Brighton, he travelled to Manchester to make this recording - his very first recording using a Wurlitzer organ. Such was the extent of his musicianship, that he soon became equally 'at home' on this fine Wurlitzer organ as he was on the four manual Hill, Norman and Beard in the Dome Concert Hall, Brighton. Sadly, Douglas is no longer with us to appreciate the full restoration that the Dome organ has recently enjoyed but his music does live on in recordings such as this for future generations to admire.
